Clear cards for your money
Money questions are rarely just money questions. Behind a turbulent financial situation there is almost always a mix of a concrete root cause, an opposition that blocks you, an action that wants to happen, and a few sources of support you are not yet fully seeing. This six-card spread breaks your financial situation into exactly those building blocks — and ends with a result card that shows where the story is heading if you carry it through. This is not a "when will my money arrive?" reading. It is a "how do I solve this?" reading — far more honest and far more useful.
What the finances spread surfaces
The finances spread follows a clear problem-solving logic. Card 1 — the root cause — shows the source of your current situation, not the symptom. Card 2 — the opposition — shows what is standing against you right now: a belief, a person, a market phase, an obligation. Card 3 — the action — is the concrete next step that is open to you. Card 4 — the allies — shows who or what can actively support you. Card 5 — sources of help — shows what you have not yet drawn on: knowledge, unused resources, possibilities at the edge of your view. Card 6 — the result — shows the likely end of the story if you carry out the action card. If you do not carry it out, the result card is irrelevant — it hangs directly on card 3.
When this spread fits
The finances spread fits when:
- you are in a financially exhausting phase and need clarity
- you are making a bigger money decision (investment, purchase, resignation, savings plan)
- you are preparing a career change or going self-employed
- you want to bring order to a debt situation without panicking
- you feel your money is stuck somewhere without knowing exactly why
How to actually read the six cards
Read the spread in three moves. Move 1: cards 1 and 2 (root cause and opposition). This is the diagnostic pair. Watch the contrast carefully: an "external" root next to an "internal" opposition (or vice versa) tells you where the story actually begins — usually not where you thought it did. Move 2: cards 3, 4 and 5 (action, allies, sources of help). This is your toolkit. Ask honestly with card 3: are you already doing this, or were you in the middle of not doing it? Cards 4 and 5 are different: allies are active (people, accounts, tools), sources of help are passive (knowledge, resources, unused options). Move 3: card 6 (result). Read it as if-then: if you carry out card 3 and use cards 4 and 5, the picture in card 6 emerges. It is not a prophecy — it is the consequence of your action.
Finances spread — frequently asked questions
- Does this spread tell me when I will get money?
- No. Tarot is not an ATM. The spread tells you where your money is hanging right now, what is next, and which result that likely produces — if you act.
- What if the result card looks heavy?
- Then it shows the consequence if you do not carry out your action card or leave the opposition unaddressed. It is changeable — the moment card 3 or card 2 shifts, card 6 shifts too.
- Does this spread suit debt situations?
- Yes, and it is especially valuable there. It rarely shows "the magical solution" but usually shows the clearest next step — which in debt situations is often what is missing most.
- Does it replace financial advice?
- No. It is the preparation, not the substitute. Tarot clarifies what you feel and which direction to move; a financial advisor then does the concrete math.
