Learn runes — the 24 signs of the Elder Futhark.
Learning runes means understanding 24 signs, each with a core power theme, each with a story from Norse mythology. Astro Academy teaches you runes in 30 days, with the Elder Futhark as the foundation. You start with Fehu (wealth) and end with Othala (inheritance). One rune a day, five minutes.
Every rune comes with its mythology (what Odin did with it), its symbolism (why it looks the way it does), and a concrete application in daily life (what to do when you draw it). Quizzes check whether the meaning has stuck. Audio coaching ties each rune to a question you can ask yourself in everyday life.
After 30 days you draw a rune in the morning and know what it is telling you. You can read a three-rune spread (past, present, future), throw a longer set for a bigger question, and read for friends. Learn runes in a way that goes beyond Viking romance — as a daily practice.
What the first 30 days cover
The 24 runes of the Elder Futhark are ordered in three groups of eight, the aettir, and the path follows that order. The first month according to the course plan:

Practise with one rune a day
Each rune has its own page in the rune library with its sound, its aett and its meaning. The path starts with Fehu, the first rune of Freyr’s aett, and in this site’s order ends with Dagaz. Drawing one rune a day by hand before reading its meaning helps you recognise them.
A small exercise: cast one rune today on a concrete question, such as the conversation you have been putting off since Monday. Write down your first thought and read up tomorrow. To compare runes with cards, the 78 images are in the tarot card library.

How do I learn runes?
You learn runes best one rune at a time, starting with the Elder Futhark (24 signs). Every rune has a core theme (Fehu = wealth, Uruz = primal force, Thurisaz = conflict). In Astro Academy you learn them in 30 days, 5 minutes daily, with quizzes that anchor each meaning and audio coaching that translates every rune into your daily life.
How long does it take to learn runes?
Reading all 24 runes confidently enough to do a three-rune spread or daily rune draw takes 30 days at 5 minutes a day. Deeper practice — rune healing, bind-runes, galdr chanting — takes 6 months or more of active work. We give you the foundation in 30 days; everything beyond that is your own journey.
Are runes hard to learn?
Runes look foreign at first because the signs are not our alphabet. But 24 symbols with clear core themes learn surprisingly fast — faster than the 78 tarot cards. It only gets hard if you try to learn all the meanings passively from a book. Our system quizzes you actively and helps you bind each rune to a story.
Can I learn runes by myself?
