Berkano

Berkano is a powerful rune that signals new beginnings and growth. It represents the start of something fresh, like a seed sprouting into a plant. This rune is deeply connected to nurturing and development in all areas of your life.

When Berkano appears, it means you are entering a time of significant growth. Think about how a tree grows from a tiny sprout into something strong and steady. You might be starting a new project, a new relationship, or even a new phase within yourself. This rune encourages you to embrace these fresh starts and see them as opportunities for expansion.

Berkano also reminds you about the importance of nurturing. Just as a gardener tends to their plants, you need to tend to yourself and your new beginnings. This means giving yourself time, care, and patience. It might be about nurturing a creative idea, a new skill, or even your own well-being. Are you giving enough care to what you want to grow?

On the other side, while Berkano brings gifts of new life, it also invites you to look at where you might be resisting growth or holding back. Maybe you are hesitant to step into a new role or afraid to start something unfamiliar. This isn't a flaw, but an invitation to gently explore what’s making you pause. Berkano asks you to trust the process of unfolding, knowing that every new beginning requires a leap of faith and consistent, gentle care.

When Berkano appears reversed, it suggests that growth might be feeling blocked or delayed. You might be experiencing frustrations with something you are trying to develop. Think of a plant struggling to grow because it’s not getting enough light or water.

This reversed position asks you to look at what might be hindering your progress. Are you neglecting something important? Are there obstacles in your way that need to be addressed? It could be a feeling of stagnation or a lack of nurturing in an area that needs your attention. This isn't a warning, but a gentle nudge to re-evaluate your approach. Take time to understand what’s missing or what needs to shift so that growth can resume. Sometimes, a reversed Berkano is a call to tend to the roots before expecting the branches to flourish.
