Uruz

Uruz is a rune of raw, untamed power and deep health. It represents the primal energy found in nature and within ourselves, the kind of strength that helps things grow and endure.

When Uruz appears for you, it’s a wonderful sign of your inner strength and vitality. Think of a mighty wild ox – strong, resilient, and deeply connected to its own powerful nature. This rune tells you that you have incredible stamina and a robust spirit. You might feel a surge of energy, or perhaps you're being called to tap into a deeper well of personal power you didn't even realize was there.

This isn't just about physical strength; it's also about your overall well-being – your health, your resilience, and your ability to bounce back from life's challenges. Uruz encourages you to embrace your authentic, wild self, the part of you that knows instinctually what you need to thrive. It's an invitation to listen to your body and your gut feelings, trusting your natural instincts to guide you toward what truly nourishes you.

On the other side, Uruz also gently invites you to look at where you might be holding back your own power. Are you playing it too safe? Are there areas in your life where you could benefit from a little more wildness, a little more courage to just go for it? This rune reminds you that true strength isn't just about being tough; it's also about being adaptable and open to transformation. It’s a call to honor your deep, natural rhythms and to allow yourself to grow in powerful, authentic ways.

When Uruz shows up reversed, it suggests that your natural energy might feel blocked or misdirected. You might be feeling a bit run down, lacking your usual vitality, or struggling with a sense of weakness. It could be a sign that you're pushing yourself too hard or ignoring your body's need for rest and nourishment.

This reversed position isn't a warning, but a gentle nudge to pay attention. It asks you to consider where you might be resisting necessary change or clinging to old patterns that no longer serve your growth. You might feel a lack of motivation or a sense of being out of sync with your true self. The invitation here is to pause, listen to your inner wisdom, and find ways to restore your natural strength and flow. It’s a call to reconnect with what truly energizes you and to release anything that drains your vital force.
