Twelve cards for your inner fields

The inner-circle zodiac spread is a full inner check in twelve cards. Each card falls to one of the twelve zodiac signs — and each sign carries a personal theme: your Self (Aries), Security (Taurus), Logic (Gemini), Feeling (Cancer), Ego (Leo), Service (Virgo), Balance (Libra), Intensity (Scorpio), Meaning (Sagittarius), Usefulness (Capricorn), Ingenuity (Aquarius), Intuition (Pisces). Twelve cards, an honest map of your inner landscape.

What the twelve cards together show

This spread follows an old tradition that joins zodiac and tarot: each of the twelve astrological houses gets a card, and you read your life through the sieve of twelve signs. In the inner circle the themes are personal — aspects of your inside, your character, your inner movements. In the outer circle (a separate spread) the themes are worldly — relationships, career, possessions. The twelve cards together give you a complete mood picture of how it looks inside you right now. Some cards will be strong, some weak. The picture is not what you should be — it is what you currently are.

When this deep spread fits

The inner-circle zodiac spread fits when:

  • you want a complete inner inventory
  • you are at a major life turn and want to see the full picture
  • you want to combine astrology and tarot deeply
  • you are looking for a special-occasion reading (birthday, year turn, end of moon cycle)
  • you have an hour and want to read twelve cards in relation

How to actually read the twelve cards

Read the spread in four quadrants of three cards each — the quadrants follow the four elements. Fire quadrant (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius): how is your energy, your self, your sense of meaning? Earth quadrant (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn): how is your security, your contribution, your usefulness? Air quadrant (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius): how are your thoughts, your balance, your creative innovation? Water quadrant (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces): how is your feeling, your depth, your intuition? In which element are the cards strong, in which weak? That tells you more than any single card. Write the twelve cards in a table, let them stand for two days, and only then look for patterns. A twelve-card reading is a week-long task, not an evening project.

Zodiac inner circle — frequently asked questions

Do I need astrology knowledge?
Helpful. If you roughly know the twelve signs, you know what each position holds. If not: the position names already explain the essence (Self, Security, Logic, Feeling, ...).
How is the inner circle different from the outer?
The inner circle covers personal themes (your inside). The outer circle covers worldly themes (relationships, career, possessions). If you want a complete reading, lay both back to back — inner first, outer on the next day.
How often should I pull this spread?
At most four times a year — once per season, or at equinox and solstice. More often does not help: inner fields shift slowly.
What if one position looks completely different from what I would expect?
That is the most important card in the spread. A "surprising" card shows something your self-image is overlooking — exactly that is the learning field.
