The tarot handbook PDF: every card to look up
A reference for the table next to your deck, with one chapter that belongs to you alone.
What a card page holds
A tarot deck has 78 cards: 22 Major Arcana, from The Fool to The World, and 56 Minor Arcana in four suits, Wands, Cups, Swords and Pentacles. In the handbook every card gets its own page. The card image sits at the top, next to its keywords, its upright and reversed meaning (reversed just means the card comes up upside down) and a yes-or-no lean. Below that come love, feelings and career, a short card profile and an affirmation. The same sections live online in the library of every tarot card, and a QR code on each page takes you straight there.

Your personal chapter
With your date of birth, the handbook works out three cards for you:
- Your birth cards: every digit of your birth date is added up and reduced until a number up to 22 is left. A sum of 19 lands on The Sun, then The Wheel of Fortune (1 + 9 = 10) and The Magician (1 + 0 = 1).
- Your year card: the day and month of your birth plus the current year. It changes with every birthday.
- Your zodiac card: the Major Arcana card traditionally linked to your sun sign.
The handbook reads your birth cards as a theme to test, not a verdict. Read them, then notice over your next few spreads whether they keep turning up.
Ten spreads with layout sketches
Each spread comes with a drawing of the card positions and the meaning of every position. You can try most of them free online too, such as the Celtic Cross or past, present, future.
| Spread | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Daily reading | a short prompt for the day |
| Past, present, future | a development in three steps |
| Situation, action, outcome | thinking a decision through |
| Mind, body, spirit | a check-in on how you are doing |
| Self-assessment | an honest look at yourself |
| Relationship spread | the link between two people |
| Stay or go | a yes-or-no question with two paths |
| Finances | questions about money and security |
| Week ahead | the next seven days |
| Celtic Cross | one big question with all its influences |
Who the handbook is for
For anyone with a deck of their own who doesn’t want to reach for a phone at every spread. The book opens with an introduction: what tarot is and isn’t, how to ask a good question, and how the daily card practice works. If you want to read the cards step by step, the way in is learn tarot. Every tarot tool is on the tarot home page, and more editions are in the shop.

Good to know
What are birth cards?
Add up every digit of your birth date and reduce the sum, and you land on a number between 1 and 22 — each belongs to a Major Arcana card. Usually this yields two cards that describe your life theme as a pair. The book does the math for you and reads the pairing.
Do I need prior knowledge?
No. The handbook opens with an introduction: what tarot is (and isn’t), how to ask good questions, and how the daily-card practice works. From there you can simply look up any card or spread.
Which spreads are included?
Ten spreads, from beginner classics to the crowning discipline: the daily reading, Past-Present-Future, Situation-Action-Outcome, Mind-Body-Spirit, self-assessment, a relationship spread, Stay or Go, finances, the week ahead and the Celtic Cross — each with a layout sketch and every position meaning.
Is my data stored?
No. Your name and birth date are only used at download time to compose your PDF and never written to a database.
