The South Node is not a celestial body but a calculated point: the descending crossing of the Moon's orbit and the ecliptic. It moves retrograde at about 0.05° per day and stays in one sign for roughly 1.5 years. We compute it with Swiss-Ephemeris accuracy from your birth date.
